You may wonder what the hell this web-journal is about. I almost hesitate to say, because you would then receive it as mere fiction and it would be easily dismissed. This journal is based on a role-playing game called de Profundis, published by Hogshead Publishing. It is meant to be a game played via snail-mail (it is also, as far as I know,being played by email), but I've decided to add a new twist, and play it via a web-journal. The entries in my journal are NOT merely fiction. They are a combination of real-life experiences, observances and flights of imagination. I consider the stuff of dream and imagination to be just as real, just as meaningful, and just as worthwhile as the stuff of consensus reality. When you read my journal, much of what you read is what 'really' happened (i.e. what can be termed a 'fact', though fact itself is entirely subjective). Some is imaginative embellishment, some is conjecture, some is fantasy, some is falsehood, some is wishful thinking - but all of it is True, Truth being a far more complex, relative and magnificent thing than most people imagine it to be. I am hoping this forum will be used creatively, much in the way my journal is. Feel free to add your own experiences and observations, your conjectures and your true lies, your imaginings. Please DON'T use this forum for flaming or for space and time-wasting questions like 'was that part real?' and 'did that really happen?'. Don't annoy me - play with me.
