“That book caused me and my brother to become outcasts, to be laughed at, and it cost me a chance to finish high school and have any chance to go to college,” said Carl Glatzel Jr. of charges in “The Devil In Connecticut” that his younger brother, David, was possessed by demons.
The book focuses on the February 1981 stabbing of Brookfield resident Alan Bono, who was 40 at the time.
Arne Cheyenne Johnson, who later married the Glatzels’ sister, Deborah, was convicted of manslaughter in the case.
His attorney, Martin Minella of Waterbury, tried to enter a plea of innocence on the grounds of demonic possession. However, that defense was rejected in Danbury Superior Court during the trial in the autumn of 1981.

What a crock! For almost a year reporters from all over the world covered this Devil in Connecticut case and not one of them ever found a hole in it. Now 27 years later this guy and this guy alone ’suddenly’ says it’s not true. Kinda fishy. So when check around you find out that his sister and brother say their brother is up to his eyeballs in lawsuits and cooked up this scheme to get money. People even closer to him say he is a hood and is probably the one whose really possessed. Like they say if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
